The City of Bartlett, TX, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Permit Clerk to join our team. This position plays a vital role in coordinating permits for Commercial and Residential applicants.
Requirements
*Building permit intakes and processing through zoning, plan reviews, inspections.
*Site plan verifications for setbacks, utility right-of-ways, etc.
*Direct correspondence with applicants, engineers, architects, building official, plan reviewers, inspectors, contractors, investors, developers, business owners, film production locations managers, etc.
*Build and maintain MyGovernmentOnline permit portal.
*Provide monthly reports for Council Meetings, quarterly reports for County Tax Appraisal District, yearly reports for U.S. Consensus.
*Attend and engage in development services workshops with City Council.
*Intake and process utility tap developments.
*Coordinate with Code enforcement for complaints, inquiries, and follow-ups on compliance.
*Issue and track business licenses and permits.
*Process Certificates of Occupancies.
*Exemplify excellent customer service by professionally greeting guests and answering phone calls. Taking questions, complaints, and messages for administration and city executives.
*Prepare Newsletters and Public Hearing Notices.
*Maintain files for all permits, certificates of occupancy, inspections, invoices, inquiries, utility developments, licenses, plan reviews, etc.
*Provide assistance/ backup to the City Administrator as needed.
