American Plant Food Press Release - Bartlett Fire

August 21, 2023

At approximately 8:30 p.m., Sunday Night central time, a fire began at American Plant Food’s Bartlett, TX fertilizer blending facility. This plant stores dry agricultural fertilizers used by local
surrounding counties in central Texas for farming and food production. In a situation such as this, employee and community safety are our top priorities. American Plant Food has served
the greater Bartlett community for almost five decades. All American Plant Food employees are safe and accounted for. We would like to thank The Mayor of Bartlett, along with state and
local emergency responders, which were on the scene and contained the fire. No injuries occurred while fighting the fire.

The fertilizer stored at Bartlett is not flammable or explosive. We will continue to work with emergency responders to ensure that the fire stays contained and to determine the cause of
the fire.

American Plant Food was established in 1964 and provides customized fertilizer blends, agronomic services, and research to ensure that growers have the nutrients and related
information to farm sustainably. We are proud to be part of an industry that is responsible for feeding 50 percent of the world’s population.
