Dec 20-21: Extended Power Outages

Power Outage - Dec. 20-21

Given the bad weather predicted for Friday. The planned outage will be on Wednesday and possibly on Thursday. This outage is to move the lines from the broken pole downtown to the new pole. Work will begin at around 7:30 AM. 

The power outages are estimated to last around 10 hours on Wednesday, Dec. 20. There could possibly be another power outage on Thursday, Dec. 21 if more time is needed to finish the transfer of lines. If this is needed, power will be restored back Wednesday night and shut down again Thursday to complete the project. The City was able to find isolation points to minimize the impact of the outage. Extended Outage Impacted Areas: South East Bell Street to Elm Street from Emma Street to Highway 95. The area shown is for the extended outage to remove the pole. There will be additional outages that will affect others prior to replacing the pole and after they are done. All efforts have been made to limit the number of people without power, but that could change once they begin the work.
